SYMPTOMS:

When you attempt to update Surrogate Socket to the latest version, the update fails when attempting to download the update files.

We have moved our update server to a new hosting provider and version 1.2b and earlier of sswebup.exe attempt to download the update from the old location. When you click on the Update button, if you do not see the following screen (Upgrader Version 1.2c), your update attempt will fail:

RESOLUTION:

Download sswebup.exe and save it in the Surrogate Socket directory replacing the version you currently have. After downloading the new sswebup.exe, you may update your Surrogate Socket installation to the latest version using the normal procedure:

1. Run Surrogate Socket Service Control.
2. Click on the Register tab.
3. Click on the Update button.
